The Howard-Suamico School District will excel in developing
an authentic, innovative, connected, inspired experience for an ever changing future.

We will work together with families and community to ensure that our students have the knowledge and skills to succeed in a changing world.

1. Every student has the
    right to learn.
2. Instruction must be
    rigorous and relevant.
3. Purposeful assessment       drives instruction and affects     learning.
4. Learning is a collaborative          responsibility.
5. Students bring strengths and      experiences to learning.
6. Responsive and safe                   environments engage                 learners.

Every Student.  Any Dream.

A path exists.
The path will lead through every experience, every moment of discovery,
Every setback and challenge of your life.
This path is unique to you; it is your path.

The journey will not be easy—sometimes you can only see enough to take the next step.
The terrain seems to change quickly—uncertainty always hovers nearby.
How will you find your way?
Who can walk with you?

Howard-Suamico School District can help you find your path.
We are committed to helping you develop the skills to succeed in a changing world;
Skills that keep you advancing on your path.

The relational wealth represented in every student, every teacher,
Every parent, every staff member, every volunteer is our greatest asset.
This powerful network of relationships centers and orients you to your future—your path.

The influence of life-long learning penetrates and transforms the world of everyone connected to it,
Resulting in a better community for all of us.

To help you discover your path, we must all work together.
Howard-Suamico School District develops local and global partnerships to form a strong network,
Propelling you forward.
We’re anticipating the future - and are prepared to help discover it with you
Through innovative and creative solutions.

Imagine the effect of thousands of students who understand their unique path,
Have the skills to prosper as they move through life
And serve their community with responsibility and distinction.
That’s what the Howard-Suamico School District is all about.
A unique network of relational wealth. A unique opportunity.
A unique path to your dream.

In public education we must work so that the chances of a child’s success is not limited by socio-economic background, gender, ethnicity or disability.

Technology became a part of our everyday lives and a part of how our current learners see and work with the world around them.

Life and work has changed exponentially in a way the prevents us from knowing exactly into what kind of world we will be sending our graduates.

We must offer a qualitatively different teaching and learning experience to respond to these changes.

In some of our schools, in some ways, this shift is already a reality.  We will learn from one another and continue to look outward to schools and districts who have progressed ahead of us in our state, across the nation, and in other parts of the world.

Engaging Learners

Put simply, the HSSD Digital Transformation represents a shift to a more dynamic and engaging learning experience for students in all academic areas – powered by new mobile technologies – and, facilitated by skilled and tech savvy educators.

Moreover, the initiative encompasses transformed instructional approaches based on professional development and administrative systems that support the change management and infrastructure necessary to more actively engage students in the learning process.
