A Note from Superintendent Damian LaCroix

Howard-Suamico School District prides itself on delivering a comprehensive education to every child. We are regarded both regionally and nationally as a high-performing school system. For example, Bay Port High School has been recognized by Newsweek and the Washington Post as one of the top high schools in the nation. Furthermore, Howard and Suamico Elementary School have both been named National Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education.

Our mission is to “work together with families and community to ensure that our students have the knowledge and skills to succeed in a changing world.” Correspondingly, Howard-Suamico has twice been included in the Greater Green Bay area’s recognition as one of the nation’s 100 Best Communities for Young People by America’s Promise.  The Village of Howard was named among the Top 40 Places to Live by Money Magazine in 2017.

Thanks to a devoted and award-winning team of employees, our students repeatedly score well above the state average on standardized tests.  To maintain this standard of excellence, we have made significant investments in literacy, math, technology, facilities, and professional training.  The District’s strategic plan and its tactical allocation of resources fortifies our commitment to helping every child find their unique path in an increasingly complex and dynamic world.

I am confident that you will find that Howard-Suamico School District is a special place due to its enduring commitment to the causes of children, character, and community.  Best wishes on a positive and productive school year!
