Sievert Resigns from HSSD Board of Education

Howard-Suamico School District (HSSD) Board of Education President Garry Sievert has resigned his position, effective immediately, citing personal health and family concerns. Sievert notified the board of his decision to step down earlier today.

“It is with a heavy heart that I need to resign from the Board of Education,” said Sievert. “My current health status and related family concerns will not allow me to provide the time and energy required for this position.”

The Board will complete a process to appoint Sievert’s replacement by the start of the upcoming school year, September 1, 2022.

Sievert served on the HSSD Board of Education since 2017 and was in his second year as Board president.
