The Howard-Suamico School District (HSSD) is proud to have earned two Golden Achievement Awards and two Awards of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for communications projects in 2023. In addition, HSSD Communications Specialist Kristin Rozek was honored as part of the NSPRA “35 Under 35” Class of 2022-23.
The Leadership HSSD program earned a Golden Achievement Award, which recognizes exemplary work in all aspects of school communications. Leadership HSSD is a program designed to provide community leaders the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the district’s mission and strategic priorities.
The HSSD CARE Awards program also earned a Golden Achievement Award. This is the fourth national award of its kind for HSSD. The CARE Awards is a staff recognition program that is fully funded through private donations in partnership with the Howard-Suamico Education Foundation. Learn more about the HSSD CARE Awards here.
The HSSD Graduate Profile video earned an Award of Excellence in the Video category. The Graduate Profile is HSSD’s north star and prepares all students for success in an ever-changing future by developing seven key characteristics in students. HSSD partnered with Gillespie Productions to create the award-winning video. View the video here.
The HSSD “Report to Our Community” earned an Award of Excellence in the Annual Report category. This redesigned publication provided annual updates on the district’s strategic plan and the complex state funding reality. The report included 16 pages of information, including facilities updates and information from the Howard-Suamico Educational Foundation. You can view the report here.
HSSD Communications Specialist Kristin Rozek was honored as part of the NSPRA “35 under 35” Class of 2022-23. Every other year, NSPRA's 35 Under 35 program recognizes professional members who are making a difference for their school districts or education-related employers.
