The Howard-Suamico School District (HSSD) was recently honored by the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) with the following awards:
- Video Award of Excellence - Graduate Profile Video: Profile to Practice
- Social Media Campaign Award of Merit - Instagram Student Takeover for Homecoming 2022
In addition to these awards, WSPRA recognized Superintendent Damian LaCroix as the 2023 Friend of WSPRA Award winner. The purpose of the award is to recognize individuals or organizations that have worked with WSPRA over the years and who are critical to the success of the WSPRA organization and its members.
"I often say that School PR is the best profession there is, a profession that is only possible because of superintendents like Damian LaCroix who recognize the essential function school communicators play in a district. Through intentional leadership, he has set the communications standard in the state and nation by elevating the School PR profession," said Kimberly Uelmen, HSSD Director of School and Community Relations.
The WSPRA Spectrum Awards were announced at its annual conference on November 9, 2023. Spectrum Awards recognize high-quality public relations efforts produced by or on behalf of Wisconsin school districts. WSPRA’s Spectrum Awards are judged by members of other school public relations associations throughout the United States.
Congratulations to the HSSD School & Community Relations Team and Superintendent LaCroix!
