DECA State Conference Results
Congratulations to the Bay Port students who competed at the DECA state conference! There are 32 students who have advanced to the international competition at the end of April. Way to go!
Project Events (Students implement a campaign, write a 20 page paper, and give a 15 minute presentation)
- 1st Place - Career Development - Beau Jensen, Max Romenesko, James Williams (Blue Crew - Sports Marketing Club managing social media and fan engagement)
- 1st Place - Financial Literacy - Nick Hawker, Ashlyn Imig, Tommy Kemen (Money Mates - Worked with the unified students in the school store and teaching financial literacy)
- 1st Place - Sales Project - Mira Matuszewski, Sadie Smith, Ella Wettstein (Captain’s Crew - Hosted Friday night Kid's Club and Daddy Daughter Dance as fundraisers for Bay Port DECA)
- 2nd Place - Integrated Marketing Campaign - Lane Stuelpner (Created marketing campaign proposal for Ralph Lauren)
- 3rd Place - Business Solutions - Aryaman Bhatia, Alex Michels, Andrew Brieder (Set Sail - Created activities to increase the social, emotional and physical health of HSSD students)
- 4th Place - Community Giving - Emma Luedke, Ava Bruley, Joslyn McFall (We Fight Together - Created fundraising activities in the fall sports season to donate and show support to Audrey Nowak and Laura Hollister)
- 4th Place - Financial Literacy- Lyle Cardwell, Brielle Sandahl, Heidi Wustrack (Cash Quest - Taught financial literacy concepts to elementary students in grades 2-4 through an interactive simulation and classroom activities)
- 5th Place - Sale Project - Maddox Cornette, Parker Janus, Caleb Linder (Pirate Playbook - Hosted basketball intramurals and 3 on 3 tournament as fundraisers for Bay Port DECA)
- 5th Place - Community Awareness - Laila Kelley, Estelle Finlan, Madi Ashmead (Radiant You - Created awareness campaign for teen girls struggling with body image issues)
