Digital Learning
The Digital Learning Transformation is more than providing technology devices to students. Rather, it is about changing the classroom experience and personalizing the learning process for both the teacher and the student. Additionally, it gives universal access to information through personal mobile technology and expands learning beyond the classroom.
Teachers use a mixture of teaching styles including technology and hard copy materials as they increasingly migrate to digitally rich online resources as HSSD works to prepare students for the future.
Technology expands students’ learning opportunities through access to current information via the Internet and HSSD Learning Management Systems like Schoology. The Digital Learning Transformation allows students to utilize interactive applications helping them improve reading fluency, math skills, study habits, and the creation of projects.
Engaging Learners
Put simply, the Digital Learning Transformation represents a shift to a more dynamic and engaging learning experience for students in all academic areas, powered by new mobile technologies, and facilitated by skilled and tech-savvy educators.
Moreover, Digital Learning encompasses transformed instructional approaches based on professional development and administrative systems that support the change management and infrastructure necessary to more actively engage students in the learning process.
