What is Leadership HSSD?

To help build capacity throughout our school community, Howard-Suamico Education Foundation (HSEF) is sponsoring Leadership HSSD, co-chaired by HSEF President, Bill Hawker, and Howard-Suamico School District (HSSD) Superintendent, Damian LaCroix

Purpose

Simply put, leadership is the skill of influencing people to work enthusiastically toward goals identified as being for the common good (James Hunter). Leadership HSSD is a program designed to provide select community members the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of our district’s mission and strategic priorities.

The program is especially beneficial for those who want to obtain a foundational understanding in district operations, leadership principles, governance, and become more active participants in our schools.

Participants are asked to commit to completing the full nine-month program.

The 2022-23 application is closed. Check back in spring for 2023-24 application details.
