2018 Referendum Recap

The 2018 operational referendum addressed three critical funding needs for HSSD.

1. Hiring teachers to reduce class sizes
2. Improving HSSD's ability to compete in the teacher salary market
3. Addressing deferred maintenance needs 

A total of 26 additional positions were added in 2018 and nine additional in 2019 to help reduce class sizes. 

• Bay Harbor: Replaced PA system
• Forest Glen: Social emotional resource rooms
• Howard: Library renovation
• Meadowbrook: Parking lot
• Suamico: Updated library bathrooms
• Lineville: PA exterior speakers
• Bay View: Weight room and cardio room
• Bay Port: Repaired tennis courts
• District-wide: Arc flash study, bottle fill water coolers, classroom painting, restroom toilet partition
